Job Description: HR & Business Operations Officer (Equity-Based) – HiWoxRole OverviewWe are looking for an HR & Business Operations Officer who will build and manage the people, processes, and execution backbone of HiWox. This is a high-ownership, cross-functional role where you will be responsible for team building, operational structuring, and ensuring smooth execution across innovation, research, and pilot programs.
This role goes beyond traditional HR — you will act as a bridge between strategy and execution, helping HiWox evolve into a structured, scalable healthcare innovation startup.
Equity Structure (Important)- This is a pure equity-based role (no fixed compensation initially)
- 3–4 rounds of discussions → 1-month NDA-based working cohort → Core team agreement
- Equity finalized post funding & Pvt. Ltd. registration
- 5-year vesting structure
- Fixed compensation begins post funding
- You will be part of a core 25+ member equity team being built
Key Responsibilities1. Talent Acquisition & Team Building (Core Focus)
- Lead hiring across healthcare, innovation, tech, research, and operations roles
- Build pipelines for equity-based hiring and early-stage team formation
- Identify high-potential candidates aligned with innovation and execution mindset
2. HR Systems & Culture Development
- Set up foundational HR systems including onboarding, performance tracking, engagement, and retention
- Build a research-driven, high-ownership culture
- Design systems for a remote-first, cross-functional team
3. Business Operations & Execution Management
- Oversee execution across pilot programs, innovation projects, and partnerships
- Ensure coordination between product, research, marketing, and partner teams
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks in real-time
4. Process Building & Standardization
- Create SOPs, workflows, and execution frameworks
- Bring structure to early-stage operations and ensure repeatability and scalability
- Convert pilot learnings into structured, deployable systems
5. Incubation, Grants & Strategic Initiatives
- Support incubation of new healthcare innovations and ideas
- Assist in identifying and applying for grants, research programs, and collaborations
- Work on partnerships with institutions, healthcare providers, and ecosystem players
6. Founder’s Office & Strategic Support
- Work directly with the founder on high-priority initiatives and rapid problem-solving
- Act as a bridge between strategy and on-ground execution
- Ensure accountability, timelines, and delivery across teams
Who Should Apply- 1–4 years experience in HR, operations, or startup roles
- Strong interest in healthcare, innovation, or research-driven environments
- Ability to manage multiple functions and dynamic priorities
- High ownership mindset with strong execution and problem-solving skills
- Prior startup or early-stage experience is a strong advantage
