HR BP Shared Services/Payroll Level 2 (Workday)
Location: Chennai, India (Mandatory Work from Office)
Shift: US Night Shift (5 Days a Week)
Experience: 2-4 Years

Role Overview:
As a Payroll Executive, you will independently execute payroll transactions and ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for US employees while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Processing
· Execute payroll activities including earnings, deductions, reimbursements, and adjustments
· Validate payroll inputs and outputs before final processing
· Perform variance analysis between payroll cycles
2. Compliance & Governance
· Ensure adherence to US payroll regulations (federal, state, local taxes)
· Support tax filings and statutory compliance activities
· Maintain payroll audit trails
3. Case Management (Tier 1 & Tier 2)
· Resolve employee payroll queries within SLA timelines
· Coordinate with HR, Finance, and vendors for issue resolution
· Track and monitor ticket trends
4. Reporting & Reconciliation
· Generate payroll reports and dashboards
· Perform payroll reconciliation and identify discrepancies
· Support audit and compliance reporting
5. Process Improvement
· Identify process inefficiencies
· Suggest improvements and automation opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing, payroll operations, or payroll administration within a shared services or HR operations environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of payroll calculations including salary adjustments, deductions, tax withholding, and payroll reconciliation.
• System Expertise: Experience using payroll systems such as Workday Payroll, ADP, SAP Payroll, or similar HRIS payroll modules.
• Payroll Compliance Awareness: Understanding of payroll compliance requirements including statutory deductions, tax calculations, and payroll reporting standards.
• Reporting Skills: Ability to generate payroll reports and validate payroll outputs using Excel or payroll reporting tools.
• Case Handling: Experience managing payroll-related queries and resolving employee payroll discrepancies.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, Commerce, or related discipline.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborates with HR, payroll teams, and finance stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues.
• Service Delivery Excellence: Ensures payroll queries are resolved within defined service levels while maintaining employee satisfaction.
