Function: HR – Talent Management CoE
Role Purpose
Talent & Succession will support the design, execution, and upkeep of key talent and leadership initiatives, with a strong focus on critical role identification, successor mapping, leadership development journeys, and internal talent mobility.
The role is execution‑heavy and analytical in nature, requiring a strong understanding of the Biocon ecosystem, attention to detail, and comfort working with data to support leadership and talent decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Critical Role Identification Support
- Support the identification and periodic review of critical roles across the organization.
- Work with HRBPs to collate inputs and document business rationale for identified critical roles.
- Maintain updated trackers reflecting in‑scope vs out‑of‑scope roles.
Impact: Reliable, well-documented inputs to enterprise succession and talent planning.
2. Successor Mapping & Readiness Tracking
- Support successor identification and mapping for critical and People Leader roles.
- Track successor readiness (Ready Now / Ready Later) using defined frameworks.
- Prepare clean, accurate datasets and summaries for talent and leadership review discussions.
Impact: Accurate successor visibility and readiness tracking.
3. Leadership Development Journey Enablement
- Support the rollout and coordination of leadership development journeys and cohort‑based Programmes.
- Help connect leadership development efforts with succession and readiness needs.
- Track participation, progress, and completion across leadership cohorts.
Impact: Smooth execution and reliability of leadership development programs.
4. Talent Mobility & Fungibility Enablement
- Support initiatives related to internal talent mobility by maintaining clear views of talent availability and readiness.
- Assist in identifying potential fungible talent pools based on skills, experience, and readiness indicators.
- Partner with HRBPs to track internal movements and role transitions.
Impact: Improved internal visibility of deployable talent.
5. Data, Excel & Dashboard Management
- Own and maintain detailed Excel trackers for:
- Critical roles
- Successor slates
- Readiness timelines
- Leadership development cohorts
- Build and manage Excel-based dashboards for internal reviews and leadership discussions.
- Ensure high standards of data accuracy, structure, and version control.
Impact: High confidence data supporting talent decisions.
Key Skills & Capabilities Required
Business & Organizational Understanding
- Strong working knowledge of Generics and Biosimilars landscape, businesses, and talent structures.
- Ability to understand talent requirements and map them against internal availability.
Talent Management Fundamentals
- Exposure to succession planning, talent reviews, leadership development, or related areas.
- Ability to follow structured frameworks and apply them consistently.
Strong Excel & Analytical Skills (Mandatory)
- Advanced Excel skills including:
- VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
- Pivot Tables
- IF / logical formulas
- Data cleaning and structuring
- Comfort managing large datasets and detailed trackers.
- Ability to convert data into clear dashboards and executive summaries.
Execution & Stakeholder Support
- Strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
- Ability to work closely with managers and senior stakeholders through well‑prepared inputs.
- Comfortable managing multiple trackers and timelines in parallel.
