Primary Functions:
Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, is
responsible for the operations of the pharmacy including dispensing,
scheduling, distribution, CQI, regulatory compliance and
supervision of pharmacy personnel.
Major Responsibilities:
- Performs distribution of pharmaceutical
products, ancillary supplies and equipment
- Ensures compliance with CQI program,
licensure, and regulatory requirements as they relate to pharmacy
- Assures appropriate clinical monitoring of
patients
- Assists with pharmacy inventories
- Assist in obtaining/completing billing
information and documentation
- Pharmacy CQI indicators
- Prescriptions,
pick lists, drug profiles, and other documents as required by law or company
- Ensures
pharmacy compliance with HPC’s policies and procedures
- Conducts
in-services as required/requested
- Participates in
patient safety, quality, and infection control programs as directed
- Required workload would be as needed
