About the role
- Staging and/or design experience; furniture knowledge helpful.
- Ability to follow specifications as laid out; creative eye and attention to detail.
- Ability to stay ahead of the trends; experience in planning and project management.
- Excellent organization; responsible for items being shipped and received.
- Work closely with shipping and receiving employees to ensure a smooth department; maintain inventory.
- Keep department organized and free from safety hazards.
- Manage and set day-to-day displays of the showroom.
- Ensure showroom reflects the newest design pieces.
- Welcome and work with outside Designers.
- Speak comfortably about the functional and stylistic benefits of products.
- Provide relevant design advise, produce knowledge and product recommendations.
- Determine customers goals and requirements of their design project.
- Responsible for incoming and outbound furniture shipments from main warehouse.
- Manage, lead and support shipping personnel; create work schedules.
- Print Barcode labels, Price tags, and ensure new product is properly tagged.
Physical requirements include: hanging pictures, moving rugs and furniture items, climbing up, and down small ladder (assisted and unassisted by shipping personnel).
Hourly pay rate depending on experience.
Report to owners.
