Role Description The Housekeeping Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for delivering structured training programs to housekeeping staff across various facility types. Day-to-day tasks include planning and conducting classroom and on-the-job training sessions on cleaning techniques, equipment usage, safety standards, and infection control procedures. The role involves developing training materials, checklists, and standard operating procedures, and ensuring that staff adhere to quality, hygiene, and sustainability guidelines. The Housekeeping Trainer observes and evaluates staff performance, provides coaching and feedback, and supports supervisors in implementing best practices. This role collaborates with operations and quality teams to align training with client expectations and regulatory requirements, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Housekeeping operations skills, including knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment handling, chemicals, and safety protocols.
- Training and coaching skills, such as instructional design, presentation, facilitation, and on-the-job mentoring.
- Quality and compliance skills, including familiarity with hygiene standards, checklists, audits, and documentation procedures.
- Communication and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse teams, giving constructive feedback, and coordinating with supervisors and clients.
- Organizational and planning skills to schedule training sessions, manage training records, and prioritize multiple site requirements.
- Previous experience in housekeeping supervision or training within commercial, residential, healthcare, or hospitality facilities.
- Basic computer literacy for using learning materials, reporting tools, and facility management systems.
- Relevant diploma or certification in hospitality, housekeeping, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and travel between client locations as required.
