Role Description The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas. Daily tasks include making beds, cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, replenishing amenities, managing laundry items such as linens and towels, and reporting maintenance issues. The role involves interacting with guests in a professional and courteous manner, responding to service requests, and supporting the housekeeping team to ensure consistent service quality. This is a full-time, on-site role based at UVA Meridian Bay Resort, Spa & Convention Center in Kundapura, requiring flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong housekeeping skills, including room cleaning, sanitization, and attention to detail in maintaining guest areas.
- Experience with laundry operations such as sorting, washing, drying, and handling linens and uniforms.
- Customer service and communication skills to interact courteously with guests and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to participate in and benefit from training, with willingness to learn hotel standards and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in hospitality or housekeeping is preferred; familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies is an advantage.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and move housekeeping carts and supplies safely.
- Basic understanding of hygiene, health, and safety practices in a hotel environment.
