Role Description The Housekeeping Associate role is a full-time, on-site position based at one of Ramee Group’s properties in Mumbai. The role involves maintaining guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to high cleanliness and hygiene standards, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and replenishing amenities. The Housekeeping Associate will follow established procedures and checklists, report maintenance issues, and ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and properly. Daily responsibilities include preparing rooms for guest arrivals, responding to guest requests promptly and courteously, and coordinating with the front office and other departments to support smooth operations. The role also requires adherence to safety, health, and hygiene protocols, and participation in regular training to uphold Ramee’s service and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Housekeeping and cleaning skills, including room preparation, use of cleaning materials, and basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to follow checklists and standard operating procedures consistently.
- Strong customer service orientation, with polite and professional interaction skills when dealing with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods, handle light to moderate physical tasks, and follow safety and health guidelines.
- Basic communication skills in English; additional local or international languages are an advantage.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; vocational training in hospitality or housekeeping is an added benefit.
