Role Description The Hotel General Manager is a full-time, on-site position based at Cosmopolitan Hotel in Jodhpur. This role oversees daily hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, ensuring smooth functioning and high service standards. The General Manager is responsible for managing budgets, revenue targets, and cost controls while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance across all departments. Day-to-day tasks include supervising and coaching staff, handling guest feedback and escalations, coordinating with vendors and corporate partners, and optimizing occupancy and average room rates. The role also involves leading sales and marketing initiatives, supporting event and banquet operations, and fostering a positive work culture that aligns with the hotel’s commitment to exceptional hospitality.
Qualifications
- Strong General Management and Business Management skills to oversee hotel operations and drive performance.
- Proven Customer Service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction, problem resolution, and personalized hospitality.
- Experience in Budgeting, financial planning, and cost control to manage revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including restaurant and banquet management, menu planning, and quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced certifications in hospitality are an advantage.
- Prior experience in hotel or hospitality management, preferably in a mid- to large-scale property.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and people management capabilities, with the ability to train and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills, operational planning abilities, and proficiency with hotel management systems and basic office software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
