Job description for Housekeeping Trainer (Centres)
● Deliver high-quality training sessions on housekeeping (laundry, rooms and public area),
hygiene, sanitation, workplace safety, waste management, and basic maintenance.
● Train trainees on the use of cleaning equipment, materials, and safe working practices.
● Impart knowledge on soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and customer service
for facility-related roles.
● Design lesson plans, training material, and assessments in line with the curriculum.
● Conduct regular assessments to evaluate trainee learning and provide feedback for
improvement.
● Ensure discipline, attendance, and active participation of trainees during the training
program.
● Mentor and motivate trainees to enhance their employability and workplace readiness.
● Coordinate with the placement team to support trainee transition into jobs in the facility
management sector.
● Maintain training records, progress reports, and documentation as per organizational
requirements.
Key Skills & Competencies
● Strong knowledge of hotel operations practices including housekeeping, hygiene,
workplace safety, and basic maintenance.
● Ability to train and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Basic computer skills for report writing and documentation. Proficiency in using Hotel
PMS Software - Opera
Qualifications & Experience
● Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
● 5-7 years of work experience in Housekeeping, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or
training role in premium and luxury hotels
● Certification in vocational training/skill development (added advantage)
