Role Description The Hospitality Professional role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad, supporting BCG’s client venues in delivering consistent, guest-focused service. Day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming and engaging guests, managing reservations and table assignments, coordinating with kitchen and bar teams, and ensuring service standards and SOPs are followed throughout the shift. The role involves handling guest queries and feedback, resolving service issues promptly, and maintaining high levels of hygiene, safety, and quality on the floor. The Hospitality Professional will contribute to training initiatives by modeling best practices, supporting new team members, and participating in ongoing process improvements and audits. Collaboration with managers and consulting teams to implement brand standards, support promotions, and enhance the overall guest journey is a key part of this position.
Qualifications
- Experience in front-of-house hospitality operations, including guest service, reservations handling, and table management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse guests and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, basic menu understanding, and comfort working in busy restaurant or bar environments.
- Ability to follow and uphold SOPs, hygiene and safety guidelines, and quality checklists consistently.
- Proven problem-solving abilities, calm demeanor under pressure, and a solution-oriented, guest-first mindset.
- Willingness to participate in training and development programs, adapt to feedback, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Previous experience in hotels, restaurants, bars, or clubs is preferred; exposure to premium or luxury hospitality environments is an advantage.
- Minimum high school diploma; hospitality-related certification or degree is a plus.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the operational schedule.
