Role Summary
Arya Medical College and Hospital is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Hospital Operations Manager – Operations & Marketing to manage day-to-day hospital operations while also supporting patient footfall growth, brand visibility, referral development, community outreach, and service-line promotion.
The role requires a strong understanding of hospital workflows, patient experience, clinical coordination, quality standards, and healthcare marketing. The candidate will act as a bridge between hospital administration, clinical departments, support services, patients, attendants, local communities, referring doctors, corporates, TPAs, and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities1. Hospital Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations across OPD, IPD, emergency, diagnostics, pharmacy, billing, admissions, discharge, housekeeping, security, maintenance, transport, and support services.
- Ensure smooth coordination between doctors, nursing, administration, diagnostic teams, billing, patient care, and support departments.
- Monitor patient flow, bed allocation, OPD waiting time, admission-discharge turnaround time, emergency readiness, and departmental service efficiency.
- Implement and monitor SOPs for patient care, operational workflows, documentation, and service delivery.
- Conduct regular departmental rounds and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
- Coordinate with academic and clinical departments to support the functioning of a medical college hospital environment.
2. Patient Experience and Service Quality
- Ensure a patient-centric culture across all hospital touchpoints.
- Handle patient and attendant grievances with urgency, empathy, and professionalism.
- Monitor patient feedback, complaints, reviews, and service gaps, and implement corrective actions.
- Improve patient journey across enquiry, registration, consultation, diagnostics, admission, billing, discharge, and follow-up.
- Work with front office, patient care executives, nursing, and billing teams to improve communication and service standards.
3. Marketing Operations and Business Development
- Support hospital marketing initiatives to increase OPD footfall, IPD admissions, diagnostics volume, health check-up packages, and specialty-wise patient inflow.
- Coordinate outreach activities such as health camps, community awareness programs, corporate health check-ups, school/college health programs, rural outreach, and preventive health campaigns.
- Build and maintain relationships with local doctors, clinics, referral partners, corporates, RWAs, NGOs, institutions, insurance/TPA partners, and nearby communities.
- Coordinate with digital marketing teams for promotion of hospital services, doctors, health packages, medical camps, patient awareness content, and social media campaigns.
- Track leads and enquiries generated through calls, walk-ins, campaigns, referrals, health camps, and online channels.
- Ensure timely follow-up of patient enquiries and conversion into appointments, investigations, admissions, or health packages.
- Support specialty-wise promotion for departments such as emergency, general medicine, surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, diagnostics, critical care, and other hospital services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, patient expectations, and local healthcare demand in Jaipur and nearby areas.
4. Doctor and Department Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants, resident doctors, nursing teams, and department heads to ensure service readiness and patient satisfaction.
- Support doctor OPD scheduling, appointment management, camp participation, and specialty promotion activities.
- Work with clinical departments to identify service-line growth opportunities.
- Ensure marketing commitments are operationally feasible and aligned with hospital capacity, doctor availability, and patient care standards.
5. Quality, Compliance, and Audit Support
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control practices, biomedical waste management, fire safety norms, patient safety standards, and statutory requirements.
- Support NABH-related processes, internal audits, quality indicators, incident reporting, and corrective action plans.
- Coordinate documentation and readiness for inspections, regulatory visits, medical college requirements, and hospital audits.
- Ensure ethical marketing practices and compliance with healthcare advertising standards.
6. Resource, Facility, and Vendor Management
- Monitor manpower deployment, departmental readiness, housekeeping standards, security, facility maintenance, and equipment availability.
- Coordinate with purchase, stores, pharmacy, biomedical, IT, maintenance, and vendors for uninterrupted hospital services.
- Ensure proper use of hospital infrastructure, beds, equipment, consumables, and utilities.
- Support cost control through efficient resource utilization and reduction of operational wastage.
7. Reporting and Performance Tracking
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on hospital operations and marketing activities.
- Track operational KPIs such as OPD footfall, IPD admissions, bed occupancy, discharge TAT, waiting time, patient complaints, patient satisfaction, and service turnaround time.
- Track marketing KPIs such as enquiry volume, appointment conversion, camp footfall, referral cases, corporate tie-ups, health package sales, online leads, and department-wise patient growth.
- Present performance updates, issues, opportunities, and action plans to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA in Healthcare Management, Master’s in Hospital Administration, or equivalent qualification preferred.
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in hospital operations, healthcare administration, hospital marketing, or healthcare business development.
- Experience in a multispeciality hospital, medical college hospital, or tertiary care setup preferred.
- Prior exposure to NABH processes, patient experience management, doctor coordination, referral marketing, health camps, and corporate tie-ups will be an advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of hospital operations, patient flow, OPD/IPD processes, and healthcare service delivery.
- Understanding of healthcare marketing, referral development, patient acquisition, and community outreach.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work with doctors, administrators, patients, attendants, vendors, and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving ability and crisis-handling skills.
- Data-driven approach to tracking operations and marketing performance.
- Knowledge of NABH standards, patient safety, infection control, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office, hospital management software, CRM tools, and reporting dashboards.
- Ability to manage pressure, extended working hours, emergency requirements, and multiple stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on hospital administrator with strong marketing orientation. They should be comfortable spending time on the hospital floor as well as in the field for outreach, partnerships, and referral development. The candidate should be capable of improving both hospital operational efficiency and patient inflow growth.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, on-site role at Arya Medical College and Hospital, Jaipur.
- May require working extended hours, weekends, holidays, health camps, outreach events, and emergency situations.
