Role Description: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Software Engineer to play a crucial role in the development of our cloud-based data management platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our systems are scalable, secure, and capable of handling large volumes of data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API development, cloud infrastructure management, and experience working with advanced data processing technologies. Key Responsibilities: API Development: Design and implement robust APIs using Python or similar languages, ensuring seamless communication between applications and cloud services. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Develop and manage cloud infrastructure and services, primarily on AWS, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability. Utilize Kubernetes and other application management solutions to enhance deployment processes and manage service scalability. Data Processing: Incorporate Apache Spark and data warehousing solutions for large-scale data processing, improving our ability to handle and analyze big data efficiently. Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud-based solutions with existing systems and workflows. Technical Leadership: Lead the design, documentation, development, and maintenance of cloud-based systems and processes. Review and implement processes to accelerate team velocity while maintaining high quality across the codebase. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on cloud service provider offerings, cloud security principles, and best practices in cloud architecture. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services. Qualifications: Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with proven experience in API development using Python or similar programming languages. Strong understanding of cloud service providers, particularly AWS, and hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure and services. Familiarity with Kubernetes and Apache Spark is highly desirable. Experience working with DICOM images and an understanding of healthcare industry standards and regulations is a plus. Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience leading projects and working with multiple engineers.
