We offer Adult Medicine, Women's Healthcare, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, Psychiatry and Dental services.
We are looking for a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT to join our behavioral health patient care team in our brand new clinic in Waxahachie. The ideal candidate will value a team based approach to patient care, be able to work independently, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
General Summary
The Behavioral Health Clinician provides direct counseling and support to patients referred by Hope Health providers. This role includes delivering evidence-based therapy, offering crisis intervention, and partnering closely with our primary care team to provide integrated, whole-person care.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess, diagnose, and support adults and children with behavioral health needs
- Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and play therapy
- Conduct crisis assessments and provide emergency case management when needed
- Facilitate therapy groups and/or parenting classes as requested
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records in accordance with compliance standards
- Support integrated care by addressing co-occurring challenges such as substance use, weight management, chronic pain, and smoking cessation
- Attend provider meetings and other meetings as assigned by the CEO or Director of Behavioral Health
- Maintain and cultivate community behavioral health resources
- Work collaboratively within the behavioral health team and provide supervision to graduate interns as applicable
- Contribute to Hope Health’s inclusive, supportive, trauma-informed culture
- Engage in ongoing learning and utilize professional development funds to expand skills in evidence-based interventions
- Maintain licensure in good standing in accordance with Texas State Board requirements
- Uphold all ethical and professional standards established by the relevant licensing board
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEO or Director of Behavioral Health
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation
- Skill in applying clinical knowledge and research to patient needs
- Strong ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships with patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when supporting patients in distress
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree required
- Active LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license (in good standing and eligible to practice in Texas)
- Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred
