As a Program Controls Lead here at Honeywell, you will manage and direct the control and oversight of various aspects of a project, such as scheduling, cost management, risk assessment, and reporting.
You will report directly to our Program Controls Manager and you’ll work out of our Houston, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the successful management and oversight of program and project management aspects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. You will play a critical role in leading and developing a strong, diverse team, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the program controls function for projects and programs
- Develop and implement project planning and scheduling strategies
- Monitor and control project costs and budgets
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
- Analyze project performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Ensure compliance with project management standards and best practices
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in program controls, project management, or related roles
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to guide and develop a team effectively
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
- Experience with project planning and scheduling tools to develop and monitor project timelines and budgets
- Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation strategies to ensure project success

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Experience in a global organization and managing projects in a matrix environment
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
