Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager of Dealer Recognition, Performance and Retention is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating programs designed to reward and recognize Honda and Acura dealers and sales consultants across the dealer network. In this role, the assistant manager will play a crucial part in enhancing dealer and sales consultant engagement, retention, and success by implementing and managing comprehensive recognition and retention strategies. This role will manage various vendor partners (BIW / PromoShop / Los Altos Trophy / RPA / Maritz / One10) and closely collaborate with various departments including field sales, sales training, and data analytics to design programs where dealers and sales consultants strive to achieve goals determined by American Honda, contributing to the overall KPIs of the company. This role is critical as American Honda moves towards maximizing customer lifetime loyalty.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategy development & collaboration: develop and execute holistic dealer recognition & retention strategy while collaborating with partner divisions and departments to achieve company goals and objectives
  • Program management: maintain an engaging and effective dealer recognition & retention program with an emphasis towards continuous improvement
  • Program implementation: coordinate with key stakeholders and execute activities and programs as planned
  • Data analysis and reporting: monitor and track effectiveness of recognition and retention initiatives through data analytics portals
  • Communication and promotion: communicate regularly with management, field organization, dealers, and sales consultants on program launch, tracking and progress

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • B.A. or B.S. in business, statistical analytics, human resources, communications, or marketing
  • 6-8 years professional experience in sales, human resources, data analytics or related areas
  • Experience with recognition programs and/or employee engagement initiatives  
  • Experience with a variety of data analytics tools
