Part-Time PCA/Life Enrichment Aide

Homestead Village is a thriving non-profit, CARF-CCAC accredited, Life Plan Community located just outside downtown Lancaster. We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, & passionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) who enjoys Life Enrichment Activities to join our compassionate community as we enhance independence and dignity for all our residents! 

Location:

• Westvue - Personal Care Memory Support; 2 floors; 13 residents on each floor

Base Pay: Determined based upon years of experience, starting rate with no experience or med tech certification is $15.75; plus, applicable shift & weekend differentials.

Part Time Positions Available:

4:00pm-8:00pm; Tuesday & Thursday; including every other weekend/holiday rotation

Shift/Weekend Differentials:

• $1.50 additional from 3:00pm-11:00pm
• $0.75 additional from 11:00pm-7:00am
• $1.25 additional on Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with Life Enrichment
• CPR/1st Aid/AED certified or ability to become certified. 
• Ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff. 
• Able to perform the essential job functions of the job description. 
• Demonstrate flexibility. 
• Satisfactory completion of the Personal Care Home Direct Care Staff Person Training Program

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Establish respectful, warm relationships with residents. 
• Assist resident with all activities of daily living as needed. 
• Participate in development of residents' Support Plan. 
• Facilitate recreational/life enhancement activities.
• Facilitate dining/light meal preparations.
• Collect data such as vital signs, as indicated. 
• Housekeeping and laundry, as needed and assigned. 
• Observe client and immediately report changes in condition to Supervisor.
• Attend all required staff meetings and complete monthly education on Relias by dates due. 
• Adhere to all PCH policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations, and OSHA safety standards. 
• Document interventions, activities, observations, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
