About the role

Position Overview:

The Analytics team is seeking a Senior Data Analyst who excels at turning loosely defined business questions into clear, actionable insights. This role is less about simply pulling data and more about deeply understanding problems, shaping requirements, and delivering solutions that drive decisions.

This individual will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams—someone who asks the right questions, challenges assumptions, and brings structure to ambiguity. The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and Tableau skills with exceptional analytical thinking, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end analytics initiatives, from requirements gathering and problem framing to data extraction, analysis, and insight delivery
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to clarify business needs, define KPIs, and translate vague questions into structured analytical approaches
  • Write complex, efficient SQL (MySQL) queries to extract, join, and transform large datasets
  • Design and maintain scalable, intuitive Tableau dashboards that drive business decisions
  • Proactively identify trends, opportunities, and risks—moving beyond reporting to true insight generation
  • Investigate data discrepancies, validate assumptions, and ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Communicate findings clearly through executive-ready storytelling and visualization
  • Serve as a thought partner to the business—challenging requests when needed and guiding toward better solutions
  • Mentor junior analysts and help establish best practices in analytics, documentation, and requirements definition
