You’ll create positive guest interactions while serving up delicious drinks and dishes in a friendly, efficient manner. Whether behind the bar or throughout the restaurant, you’ll ensure every guest enjoys a top-tier experience, all while following state and local laws and upholding our company’s high standards. RESPONSIBILITIES

Mix and serve drinks following set standard recipes.
Organizing and setting up the workspace before, during and after each shift. Including stocking, cleaning, sanitizing and prep work.
Knowledgably present menus and recommendations to guests.
Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant while maintaining a professional appearance.
Operate a computerized point of sale system, completing financial transactions accurately, making change and running credit cards.
Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have or the ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handler’s Card.
Must have a valid alcohol safety and TAPS card for the State of Alaska.
Minimum age of 18 years required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
Must pass a pre-employment background check.
Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
