Head of Department (HOD) – Sales & Marketing

Job Summary
The Sales HOD is responsible for leading the hotel’s sales operations, increasing room and
banquet revenue, developing corporate business, managing key accounts, and achieving
overall sales targets. The role includes team handling, market planning, revenue growth, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the complete Sales & Marketing department
* Achieve monthly and yearly revenue targets
* Develop corporate, travel agent, and banquet business
* Create sales strategies and marketing plans
* Handle key corporate accounts and VIP clients
* Conduct sales meetings and market visits regularly
* Coordinate with Front Office, Reservation, Banquet, and
Operations teams
* Monitor online business and OTA performance
* Prepare sales forecasts, MIS, and performance reports
* Train and guide the sales team for better performance
* Maintain strong relationships with companies, travel partners, and event planners
* Ensure timely payment follow-up from clients
* Promote hotel events, offers, and seasonal packages
Required Skills
* Strong leadership and team management * Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Knowledge of hotel sales, banquet sales, and revenue management
* Good networking and client-handling abilities
* Computer knowledge (Excel, Email, PMS, OTA handling) * Target-oriented and result-driven approach
Qualification
* Graduate / MBA in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality preferred
Experience
* Minimum 5–8 years experience in hotel sales
* At least 2 years in managerial role preferred

* General Manager / Directors
