Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for the position of Head of Department (HOD) for Physics & Chemistry, at Dr Simon’s Academy. The HOD will oversee curriculum development, spearhead academic strategies, and ensure the delivery of high-quality education. Responsibilities include managing and mentoring teaching staff, evaluating student performance, and coordinating academic programs within the department. The HOD will also foster a collaborative environment to support innovation and the exchange of best practices among educators.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills in an educational context
- Excellent teaching and presentation skills
- Proficiency in curriculum development and academic program management
- Excellent instructional and mentoring abilities
- Experience in fostering collaboration and implementing best practices in educational settings
- Ability to evaluate academic performance and implement improvements effectively
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Masters in Education or advanced degrees or PhD in Science is mandatory.
- Prior experience in a senior academic or administrative role is strongly preferred
