Role Description
As the Head of Department (HOD) of Computer Science, you will oversee academic operations, curriculum development, and faculty management within the Computer Science department. Responsibilities include leading the design and evaluation of academic programs, mentoring faculty and students, fostering industry-academia partnerships, and ensuring high-quality educational outcomes. You will also collaborate with other departments to drive innovation, technological advancements, and strategic initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mohali district.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Computer Science and Software Development
- Proficiency in Programming and Informatics
- Effective Communication skills for liaising with students, faculty, and industry experts
- Proven leadership and organizational abilities to manage departmental functions
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
- Experience in academic administration or leadership roles is advantageous
- Familiarity with technological advancements and their applications in education
