The Electrical Specialist – ( Data center/NOC ) is responsible for supporting sales teams by providing technical solutions, costing, and design support for data center electrical infrastructure. The role focuses on power systems, electrical distribution.UPS etc.
Knowledge of Electrical System Design preferably Data Center, make SLD/ Solution Design/ Design Calculation, Layout Preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Presales & Technical Support
· Understand customer requirements for data center electrical systems including capacity, redundancy, and reliability.
Prepare technical proposals, BOQs, SLDs, and compliance matrices.
· Support sales team during client meetings, technical discussions, and presentations.
· Analyze RFQs/RFPs and provide optimized electrical solutions.
Electrical System Design & Solutioning
· Design and size LV/MV electrical systems for data centers such as
o HT/LT panels
o Transformers
o UPS systems
o Diesel Generator (DG) sets
o Bus ducts & cabling
o Earthing and lightning protection systems
o Ensure designs comply with Tier standards (Uptime Institute), IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS codes.
Costing & Estimation
· Prepare cost estimates and pricing for electrical packages.
· Work closely with vendors and OEMs for technical specifications and pricing.
Vendor & Internal Coordination
· Coordinate with OEMs, consultants, and internal engineering teams.
· Support handover from presales to execution/project teams.
· Participate in value engineering and risk assessment.
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
· Strong knowledge of data center electrical infrastructure
· Experience with power distribution, redundancy (N, N+1, 2N) concepts
· Familiarity with data center requirements
· Understanding of energy efficiency and reliability
Preferred Background
· 12–20 years of experience in Pre-Sales / Solution Architect roles.
Exposure to enterprise, corporate, or large-scale data center Solution design.
