Open Positions – BCA Department
Organization: Kingston Educational Institute
Location: Barasat, West Bengal
Kingston Educational Institute invites applications from qualified, dynamic, and passionate academic professionals for the following positions in the BCA Department:
1. Head of the Department (HOD) – BCA Department
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the academic and administrative activities of the department.
- Supervise curriculum planning, faculty coordination, and departmental operations.
- Ensure compliance with MAKAUT/UGC norms and academic standards.
- Coordinate NAAC documentation, academic audits, and affiliation-related activities.
- Monitor student performance, mentoring, and project activities.
- Organize seminars, workshops, FDPs, and industry interaction programs.
- Coordinate with Admission, Examination, Placement, and Administration Departments.
- Support departmental growth, student development, and academic excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s Degree in relevant discipline (MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc. CS/IT).
- Minimum 55% marks in postgraduate qualification.
- Ph.D. preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience in higher education institutions.
- Prior administrative or departmental leadership experience preferred.
2. Assistant Professor – BCA Department
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions as per MAKAUT curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and academic materials.
- Guide students in academic and project-related activities.
- Maintain attendance, internal assessment, and academic records.
- Participate in seminars, workshops, and departmental activities.
- Support admission counselling and student engagement initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s Degree in relevant discipline (MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc. CS/IT).
- Minimum 55% marks in postgraduate qualification.
- NET/SET/SLET qualification preferred where applicable.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
Preferred Skills for Both Positions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of computer applications and programming concepts.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and ICT tools.
- Strong organizational and academic coordination abilities.
