Part Time Assistant Teacher

The Off the Common Early Learning Center of the Hockomock Area YMCA in Foxboro, MA is seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team!

We are hiring an Assistant Teacher to support our early education program, working afternoons, 3-6pm, Monday to Friday. This role provides an opportunity to support our youngest learners in a nurturing, engaging, and mission-driven early childhood environment.

Essential Functions

• Provides supervision and guidance to children in their care.
• Follows all health policies, YMCA policies, and EEC regulations.
• Actively participates in at least two YMCA family events and all childcare family events.
• Promptly communicates any concerns to a Teacher or Lead Teacher.
• Assists in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Attends and completes professional development as required by EEC.

Requirements

• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Experience working with children is required.
