Overview:
We are seeking a skilled HMI/graphics integrator to join our automotive software engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong C++ fundamentals, hands‑on experience integrating HMI models into embedded platforms, and the ability to adapt customer‑provided assets to project‑specific behavior. This role requires close collaboration with HMI architects, platform teams, and customer stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of graphical and behavioral elements into production‑grade software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage graphics pipelines across CPU, GPU, and display controller.
- Integrate customer‑provided HMI models and update configurations as needed to ensure alignment with Artemis HMI behavior and platform requirements.
- Perform widget, graphic, and animation adjustments in collaboration with HMI developers.
- Work with the GS4 framework and HL3D(+) GPU flows to ensure correct rendering, performance, timing, and synchronization of visual elements.
- Collaborate with platform teams to apply required adjustments to the CrossCompiler Toolchain, including build environment adaptations.
- Execute end-to-end HMI integration and validation on target hardware, diagnosing cross-layer issues spanning UI frameworks, graphics/rendering engines, middleware, and system software.
- Ensure compliance with project architecture, system constraints, memory budgets, and performance KPIs.
- Provide documentation support for integration workflows, change requests, and version upgrades.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong proficiency in C++, particularly for HMI-related components, widgets, and animation logic.
- Experience in HMI integration, UI behavior validation, and correction of mismatches between design models and system behavior.
- Understanding of HMI systems on ARTEMMIS, including behavior modeling and XML‑driven configuration.
- Familiarity with the GS4 graphics stack and HL3D(+) GPU pipelines.
- Hands‑on experience with embedded toolchains and cross-compiler toolchain customization.
- Ability to debug integration issues across software layers (UI, rendering, platform, system services).
- Working knowledge of OpenGL, graphics concepts, and animation pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EB GUIDE (4.5 or later).
- Knowledge of Integrity OS or similar safety‑critical embedded systems.
- Experience with multi-display systems.
- Familiarity with graphic asset workflows, rendering optimization, and embedded UI performance tuning.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ownership‑driven attitude with the ability to handle integration responsibility end‑to‑end.
