HMI DEVELOPER
Experience: 3 to 9 years
Roles and Responsibilities
As an HMI developer, the following are the primary roles and responsibilities.
- Responsible for developing HMI software for automotive instrument clusters and head-up displays.
- Analysis of customer requirements in terms of HMI performance, quality, and functionality
- Elaboration and definition of HMI concepts based on internal platforms and constraints.
- Creation of design guidelines with HMI focus
- Design and development of complex HMI
- Responsible for the quality and on-time delivery of your work-products throughout the software development cycle
- Debugging and error analysis, implementation of the corresponding module, integration and unit tests, and creation of further accompanying documentation.
- Implementation of OEM-specific functions into an existing framework
- Analyze requirements and derive SW deliverables.
- Perform relevant tests like static and dynamic tests to ensure the quality of deliverables.
- Following SW life cycle management process as per BA/company-level standards
Mandatory Skills
- Good experience in instrument cluster/infotainment HMI design and development
- Experience with RTOS on embedded microcontrollers
- Experience in model-based design and implementation of GUI and its logic & control for embedded systems as well as the associated tools like KANZI & CGI STUDIO.
- Solid experience in software sub-/system and Module Design as well as in UML, XML, Python, C, C++, and Embedded C++
- Experience in Debugging with Hardware Interfaces
Additional Skills: (Good to have)
- Experience with tools like GIT/Gerrit/Jenkins and AGILE methodologies will be an advantage.
- Experience in tasks tracking tools like JIRA/ALM
- Experience in requirements management using Doors.
