As one of our BD first hires, you will play a foundational role in shaping our sales strategy and driving our growth.


The Role

We’re looking for a curious, driven and ambitious Business Development Associate to support our sales efforts and help us grow our customer base. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career (1–3 years of experience) who’s excited to get hands-on with all aspects of business development at a fast-paced startup. You’ll work closely with the Founders and the wider team to identify leads, generate meetings, and support the sales pipeline.


Tasks

What You’ll Do



  • Research and identify potential customers, partners, and opportunities across our target markets

  • Support outbound sales efforts through prospecting, outreach, and follow-ups

  • Help manage the sales pipeline keeping track of leads, updating CRM, and preparing meeting materials

  • Join calls and demos with potential clients and learn the full sales process from first contact to close

    Collaborate with the founders on refining outreach strategies and experimenting with new tactics

  • Represent Hive Mechanics at events, conferences, and meetups when needed

  • Work cross-functionally with product and marketing to share insights from the field


Requirements

Who You Are



  • 1 to 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role

  • Strong communication skills, comfortable writing clear, concise messages and speaking with clients

    Highly motivated, organized, and excited to learn

  • Not afraid to take initiative, try new things, and iterate quickly

  • Interested in startups, tech, AI, and automation no need to be an expert, but a willingness to learn is keyBonus: experience using sales tools (like Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.) or running outbound outreach
