Job Title: Histopathology Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Histopathology Technician to join our healthcare team in Oman. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in handling histological specimens, performing laboratory procedures, and supporting pathologists in accurate diagnosis. This role requires technical expertise, precision, and adherence to laboratory safety and quality standards. The candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic examination, including fixation, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
Perform routine and specialized staining procedures such as H&E staining and other histochemical techniques.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including microtomes, tissue processors, and embedding stations.
Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and tracking of all specimens to maintain accuracy and traceability.
Assist pathologists in the examination and analysis of tissue samples.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
Monitor and manage inventory of laboratory reagents, chemicals, and consumables.
Perform quality control checks and ensure all procedures meet established standards.
Handle biological samples safely and dispose of hazardous waste according to regulations.
Maintain accurate records and reports of all laboratory activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or equivalent.
Certification or relevant training in Histopathology is preferred.
Experience Required
Minimum 4+ years of experience in Histopathology laboratory.
Hands-on experience with tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining techniques.
Familiarity with laboratory quality standards and accreditation requirements.
Skills & Competencies
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good knowledge of histopathology techniques and laboratory procedures.
Ability to operate laboratory equipment efficiently.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Salary & Benefits
Salary: 450 OMR + Additional Benefits
Air Ticket Allowance: 130 OMR
Joining Ticket: 75 OMR
