Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and execution-driven Launch Project Manager to support cross-functional pharmaceutical product launches. This role will act as the operational backbone for launch activities, ensuring alignment across workstreams, maintaining execution discipline, and providing transparent reporting to leadership.
The individual will collaborate closely with Commercial, Market Access, Marketing, Medical, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones, proactive risk management, and accurate financial tracking. This role enables senior leadership to focus on strategic decision-making by ensuring structured coordination and clear visibility into progress, risks, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to collect routine status updates on launch activities
- Maintain and update key project management tools including:
- Integrated launch plans
- RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
- Dashboards and trackers
- Schedule and facilitate cross-functional meetings, workshops, and governance forums
- Prepare meeting agendas and capture clear, action-oriented minutes
- Track and follow up on action items to ensure timely closure
- Consolidate inputs from multiple stakeholders into standardized reporting formats
- Proactively identify and escalate risks and issues to senior leadership (VP/Senior Director level)
- Support preparation of executive presentations and updates
- Manage financial tracking including:
- Budget planning and monitoring
- Variance analysis (planned vs. actuals)
- Accrual tracking
- Quarterly spend forecasting
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting pharmaceutical product launches, preferably in commercial or late-stage environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Strong experience in commercial pharma launches
- Proven expertise in maintaining:
- Integrated project plans
- RAID logs
- Dashboards and reporting trackers
- Coordinate cross-functional teams
- Drive meetings and governance forums
- Capture and track action items effectively
- Experience in consolidating complex inputs into clear, structured reports for leadership
- Strong ability to identify, assess, and escalate risks appropriately
- Hands-on experience in:
- Budget tracking and financial management
- Accruals and variance analysis
- Quarterly spend planning
- Smartsheet
- Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables)
- PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
