As part of our strategic growth initiative, Nawal is expanding into Hardlines and Softlines Testing, offering comprehensive testing solutions for textiles,apparel, leather goods, footwear, toys, juvenile products, medical devices ,fashion accessories, home furnishings, and consumer products. We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead market expansion and customer acquisition efforts.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact leadership role for a business development professional with deep industry knowledge, strong customer relationships, and a proven track record within the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) industry.
The successful candidate will drive business growth by developing strategic partnerships with manufacturers, exporters, retailers, sourcing organizations, buying houses, brands, and regulatory stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business growth strategies for Hardlines and Softlines testing services.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across textiles, apparel, leather, footwear, toys, consumer products, and retail supply chains.
- Build and maintain relationships with leading brands, exporters, manufacturers, sourcing offices, buying houses, and industry associations.
- Promote Nawal's testing capabilities and regulatory compliance solutions.
- Collaborate with laboratory and technical teams to develop customized testing programs for clients.
- Monitor global regulatory developments and emerging compliance requirements impacting consumer products.
- Develop market intelligence on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Represent Nawal at trade fairs, industry conferences, customer events, and regulatory forums.
- Achieve annual revenue targets while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and retention.
What We Are Looking ForExperience
- 10+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience within the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) industry.
- Demonstrated success in Hardlines, Softlines, Consumer Products, Toys, Textiles, Leather, Apparel, Footwear, or Retail Compliance sectors.
- Established network across brands, retailers, exporters, manufacturers, sourcing organizations, and buying houses.
Technical & Industry Knowledge
Strong understanding of global compliance and regulatory requirements, including:
- CPSIA
- REACH
- EU Consumer Product Regulations
- UKCA Requirements
- Textile and Apparel Compliance Standards
- Restricted Substances Testing (RSL)
- Chemical Safety and Product Safety Regulations
- Leather and Footwear Testing Standards
- Toy Safety Standards (EN 71, ASTM F963, ISO Standards)
- Retailer and Brand-Specific Compliance Programs
Skills
