Job Description
Role: Academic Counsellor
About the Role
We are looking for an Academic Counsellor to manage lead conversion.This is a volume-driven, inside sales role focused on converting inbound and mixed leads into learner enrollments.
Key Responsibilities
● Prospect and generate leads through different channels (social media and direct network)
● Contact and engage with leads shared by management and other channels.
● Understand learner requirements and explain course structure, outcomes, and benefits
● Qualify leads and guide them through the sales funnel (lead → closure)
● Conduct course discussions / demos (if applicable)
● Follow up consistently to drive timely closures
● Update lead status, follow-ups, and closures in the sales tracker
● Work closely with operations and learning teams to ensure smooth batch onboarding.
Skills & Expertise Required
● 1–2 years experience in inside sales / education sales / tele-sales (preferred)
● Strong communication and persuasion skills
● Comfortable with high-volume calling and follow-ups
● Ability to explain offerings clearly and handle objections
● Basic understanding of CRM or Google Sheets (training will be provided)
● Result-oriented and disciplined with follow-ups
