Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sonipat for a Home Textile Design Head & Junior Team. The role involves leading and supporting the design and development of home textile collections, including concept creation, mood boards, and product specifications aligned with market trends and customer needs. The Design Head will guide the junior team in creating textile patterns, coordinating colors, selecting fabrics, and integrating embroidery and other embellishments suitable for home and pet products. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with production and quality teams to ensure designs are technically feasible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards, as well as working with sales and merchandising to adapt designs for key accounts. The junior team members will assist in sample development, artwork preparation, documentation, and follow-up with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely execution of collections.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in home textiles and the textile industry, including understanding of fabrics, finishes, and home textile product categories.
- Hands-on experience with embroidery and decorative techniques, with the ability to translate design concepts into production-ready artwork.
- Proficiency in quality control within textiles, ensuring consistency, durability, and compliance with internal and customer standards.
- Ability to collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to align designs with customer requirements and market demand.
- Experience in leading or mentoring a design team (for Head role) and willingness to learn and grow under guidance (for Junior role).
- Relevant education in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Home Furnishing, or a related field.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously on-site.
- Proficiency in design tools (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD for textiles) is highly preferred.
