Job Description:

The QA Test Analyst I role extends the responsibilities of a QA Tester. This position involves maintaining and expanding test suites, executing ad-hoc testing in undocumented areas, and enhancing the quality and accuracy of the QA organization's output by reviewing bugs and providing feedback to peers and Testers. Additionally, the role includes maintaining test cases by editing existing ones, adding new cases to defined areas, and providing feedback to other test case creators.

Responsibilities:

• Test Case Maintenance:
  • Add new test cases to existing/established areas
  • Edit existing test cases for accuracy
  • Provide feedback to other test case creators
• Bug Review:
  • Review and recreate bugs reported by team members to validate them
• Ad-Hoc Testing:
  • Conduct targeted ad-hoc testing in undocumented areas

• Test Case Execution:
  • Execute test cases for software and hardware
  • Investigate and report software and hardware bugs
  • Verify bug fixes

Skills Required:

• Ability to review logs to derive the root cause of bugs
• Proficiency in developing test cases and test plans
• Competency with command line tools
• Experience with commonly used bug-tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Mantis)
• Strong deductive reasoning skills
• Clear, accurate, and succinct communication abilities
• Understanding of the software development process

Education and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in a QA or related role
