Email Developer

This role is for a Contract Email Developer who will provide temporary services to Hims & Hers on a 1099 basis. This is a 6-month contract for roughly 20 hours a week. You will be responsible for hand-coding custom email templates in HTML/CSS and liquid logic, ensuring high-quality and responsive email experiences for our users. You should have a keen eye for detail and the ability to accurately replicate complex figma designs in email code. You must be able to show specific work samples of organized, high-quality HTML files for fully responsive and dynamic email templates. You Will: Code HTML/CSS email templates for promotional, transactional, and triggered email campaigns. Manipulate and edit existing HTML/CSS email templates and template modules. QA emails across a variety of email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.) and devices to ensure consistent appearance and functionality. Ensure figma designs are accurately replicated in code and solve for design challenges like dark mode rendering. Utilize liquid logic to customize existing content blocks within email templates and create new content blocks to support a templatized, modular design system and corresponding code library. You Have: 2-3 years of experience in email development Experience optimizing email code across all devices and clients (including Outlook) Experience working within an existing design system and corresponding code snippet library. Experience coding complex email designs (i.e background images, stacking elements on mobile devices, fluid mobile responsive breakpoints, etc) Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment Nice to Have: Experience working within Braze Experience coding interactive email templates
