Job Summary:
This position is responsible for performing a variety of Human Resource related functions including retirement plan & payroll administration, as well as supporting general HR policy administration and employee relations. This role ensures accurate and compliant retirement plan administration and supports employees with related inquiries.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Retirement Plan Administration
- Administer aspects of Bank Profit Sharing & 401(k) Plan, including:
- Participant eligibility and enrollment
- Contribution processing and allocation
- Distributions, loans, and rollovers
- Ensure compliance with plan documents, company policies, and applicable federal and state regulations (ERISA, IRS, DOL)
- Serve as the primary liaison with the plan recordkeeper options, plan updates, and participant communications
- Partner with the internal Trust department on investment options, plan updates, and participant communications
- Support annual plan activities such as audits, nondiscrimination testing, and requires filings
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to plan activity
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide clear, timely guidance on retirement benefits and other related matters
- Maintain benefit data integrity in HRIS and vendor systems
- Payroll & HR Related Duties
- Process assigned payrolls ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Review and audit payrolls prepared by others to ensure compliance and correctness
- Acts as a point of contact for employees, management, and HR business customers, addressing inquiries and providing information
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of payroll & HR related data
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in benefits administration, payroll, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational & time management skills
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Exceptional communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime when necessary
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
