The Director of Juvenile Justice Alternative Programs develops, directs, manages, and markets treatment programs that effectively serve youth and families involved in the Juvenile Justice System, and does this in a manner that is responsive to community needs and supports the overall mission of Highfields.
Essential Functions:
- Hire, develop and retain quality staffing and provide ongoing oversight, supervision, and direction.
- Provide leadership to the Ingham Academy and Horizon management team to develop efficient and effective treatment, positive morale, and overall team spirit.
- Maintain positive relationships with the various public whose support is necessary for the growth and development of programs to meet the needs of the youths and families it serves.
- Supervise assigned management and direct services staff and participate in development of their clinical and Leadership skills.
- Coordinate and provide development programs to enhance the continued professional development of the workforce.
- Work harmoniously and cooperatively with fellow administrators and communicate fully all relevant and pertinent information necessary for good communication and effective decision making.
- Participate actively in strategic planning and periodic program evaluation to improve and enhance the organization’s mission and services.
- Assist Senior Management Team in the general administration of the organization as well as in providing staff assistance to designated board committees
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
- Master’s degree in Human Services or bachelor's degree with 3-5 years progressive experince.
- Licensure commensurate with degree.
- Shall be a person of good character who possesses the health, emotional stability, maturity, and strength to carry out assigned duties.
- Ability to show sensitivity to the service populations’ cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
