About the role

As a Lead Customer Service Associate, you are detail oriented, friendly, a team player and an important part of the store's efficiency. We are looking for a long-term addition to our team that wants to grow in the cannabis industry. Previous cannabis inventory experience is preferred, but not required in this position. Someone with a great eye for detail that is equally committed to the team and the overall success of the store. You will be expected to provide guidance to the Customer Service Associates.

Description

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Retail, cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) experience required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft
  • Experience in cannabis industry highly desirable, but not required
  • Must be 21 years old and pass criminal background check 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient computing skills
  • Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match
  • Ability to critically think and problem solve without direction
  • High level of integrity
  • Ability to work nights and weekends and/or in instances where no other coverage is available


Duties: 

  • Be a leader on the sales floor by modeling the way with the customer experience
  • Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with established standards
  • Develop and maintain rapport with our customers, vendors, service providers and staff
  • Ensure customers’ concerns and/or questions are resolved and answered promptly and efficiently
  • Communicate customer requests and/or problems and act as Leader on duty, when needed
  • Communicate the effects of different types of cannabis to customers clearly and effectively
  • Assist in training Customer Service Associates on company standard operating procedures, including but limited to, cash/product handling, point of sale systems, product knowledge, etc.
  • Ensure strict controls to protect organization assets at the direction of management
  • Assist in display maintenance and housekeeping
  • Assist in processing, replenishing and monitoring of merchandise
  • Participate in inventory counts, as needed
  • Perform data entry and manage the customer database
  • Ability to open and close the store as needed
  • Answer phone calls and forward to the appropriate staff member
  • Frequently delegate daily tasks to Customer Service Agents in an efficient and fair manner
  • Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Perform other related work as required
