Role Description
Job Title: High-Performance WordPress Developer, especially suitable for e-commerce / WooCommerce/Shopify projects.
This is a full-time hybrid role for a High-Performance WordPress Developer. We are looking for an experienced High-Performance WordPress Developer responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining fast, scalable, and secure websites. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in performance optimization, custom development, and improving website speed and Core Web Vitals.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain websites using WordPress and WooCommerce
• Build custom themes and modify existing themes as per project requirements
• Optimize website performance to achieve high scores in Google Page Speed Insights
• Implement image optimization, CSS/JS minification, lazy loading, and caching
• Optimize database queries and website code for faster loading speed
• Configure and manage CDN integration and caching solutions
• Improve Core Web Vitals and overall website performance
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and fix technical issues
• Ensure websites are mobile responsive and SEO-friendly
• Work with designers, digital marketers, and project managers to deliver optimized websites
• Monitor website performance and implement continuous improvements
Required Skills
• Strong experience with WordPress development
• Experience with WooCommerce e-commerce development, Shopify and React.
• Good knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience in website performance optimization
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms and CDN integration
• Familiarity with database optimization (MySQL)
• Understanding of Core Web Vitals and website speed metrics
• Experience with Git or version control systems
Preferred Skills
• Experience with advanced caching tools
• Experience optimizing WooCommerce stores with high traffic
• Knowledge of server optimization and hosting environments
Performance Expectations
• Optimize websites to achieve strong performance scores on Google Page Speed Insights
• Target performance benchmarks:
Mobile: 60–80
Desktop: 80–95
Experience
• 3+ years of WordPress development experience
• Experience in WooCommerce website optimization preferred
Remuneration
