About the role
We are hiring a highly skilled Data Engineer to sit at the intersection of data engineering and social/native ad platforms. You will design and own scalable data pipelines, high-quality datasets, and be a key contributor in shaping technical decisions that drive real business outcomes — revenue, lead quality, and conversion efficiency.
This role goes beyond building pipelines. You will own the full picture: architecture, data quality, and how data is trusted and acted upon across marketing and growth teams.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines for social marketing and product data sources (APIs, event streams, batch systems)
- Develop scalable ETL/ELT workflows and microservices using Python and SQL
- Own ingestion and modeling of data from Meta Ads (Facebook) and other digital marketing platforms
- Build datasets supporting campaign performance tracking, lead funnel analysis, and attribution/conversion tracking
- Translate business requirements from marketing, growth, and product teams into scalable data solutions
- Implement validation checks, monitoring, and alerting for pipelines
- Design and drive modular, reusable microservices and engineering standards across the team
- Own end-to-end use cases: lead funnel optimization, campaign attribution, revenue reporting and forecasting
What we're looking for
- Strong proficiency in Python (must-have) and advanced SQL for large-scale data processing
- Hands-on experience with data ingestion from APIs (rate limits, pagination, retries)
- Experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow or equivalent)
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (BigQuery, etc.)
- Solid understanding of Meta Ads platform fundamentals — campaign hierarchy, CTR/CPC/CPA/ROAS, attribution models, lead gen workflows
- Familiarity with event tracking systems (GA4, Snowplow, etc.)
- Understanding of performance and cost optimization in data systems
Nice to have
- Experience with other ad platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads)
- Knowledge of data modeling best practices (star schema, dbt)
- Experience with real-time or near real-time data pipelines
