Are you detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about payroll? Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) is seeking a meticulous and proactive Payroll Officer to join our team in Woodstock, Cape Town. In this on-site role, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining strict compliance with South African labour laws and company policies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include processing payroll data, reconciling accounts, preparing statutory submissions such as PAYE and UIF, and resolving payroll-related queries. Working closely with HR and Finance teams, you will also support process improvements, implement payroll system updates, and provide training to enhance understanding of payroll policies and compliance requirements. What are we looking for:

We are seeking a highly organised individual with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to accuracy. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in payroll processing and demonstrate the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.

Key qualities include excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with payroll software systems and South African labour laws is essential, along with experience handling statutory compliance requirements.

Requirements JD

  • A National Certificate, Diploma, or Certification in Payroll Administration or a related field.
  • Demonstratable experience in payroll processing.
  • Experience with payroll software systems.(Payspace/SAGE/Etc)
  • Familiarity with administering employee benefits, including medical aid and pension fund contributions.
  • Demonstrated experience with SARS eFiling and preparing for SARS audits or compliance reviews.
  • Ability to create detailed and accurate payroll reports for stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Must be based in Cape Town, as this is an on-site role.
