Job Summary:
Assist in supervising the performance of all aspects of customer service to include; friendly interaction, fulfilling shop/stand needs for cleanliness and attention to detail, fulfilling customer orders, maintaining food quality and safety, serving food, handling cash transactions, and meeting or exceeding financial goals for area. Directly managing waitstaff to server up to 600 guests each cruise. Assist guest with seating/ticket issues and work with other departments to ensure a cruise experience runs smoothly.
This position starts now and ends 12/31/26.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Monitor, audit, and coach making guests feel welcome and appreciated.
- Make financial decisions assigned to include ordering and inventory and all aspects of sales.
- Orientate, coach, and train staff. Ensure compliance with federal guidelines while maintaining a positive work climate.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to assist the Foods teams.
- Greeting guests and taking product orders.
- Making customers feel welcome and appreciated.
- Maintaining a themed environment.
- Handling cash/making change and operating Point of Sale registers.
- Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
- Communication via radio to other departments.
- Implementing shop closing/cleaning procedures.
- Maintaining positive, helpful relationships with teammates.
- Complete all job responsibilities independently (self-supervising).
- Assist in supervising guest interaction to maintain assigned friendliness levels.
- Maintain safety records and monthly/weekly sign offs.
- Balancing registers.
- Maintaining safe food environment and following safety procedures.
- Maintaining positive, helpful relationships across divisional lines and with management.
- Participate in Coast Guard required training and drills. And in case of emergency assist with guest evacuation and be able to follow directions from the Captain and First Mate.
- Maintain high levels of energy and enthusiasm.
- Ensure that proper reports and records are kept.
- Respond promptly to the needs of guest and employees.
- Consistently at work and on time with flexibility in scheduling.
Required Skills:
- Must be comfortable working on a moving vessel away from land.
- Basic math skills including making change and counting change back to guests.
- Must be able to complete an in-house ServSafe food training class.
- Able to communicate efficiently.
