Kids Dental Place in Huntington Park, CA, is currently seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to perform a variety of duties within our dental practice and support dentists as they care for patients. This position will report to the Operations Manager.
This position will be at-will, meaning either the employer or the employee may terminate the employment at any time, with or without cause or prior notice.
Pay range: $25-$32/hr
Job Responsibilities
- Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health
- Provide excellent chair-side assistance to doctor
- Perform coronal polishing, apply topical fluoride and/or sealants, and remove orthodontic bands(per state laws and with required credentials/supervision)
- Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
- Perform safe x-ray techniques and capture efficient and quality dental x-rays as prescribed by the dentist
- Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
- Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental and orthodontic services to underserved children
Job Qualifications
- Current Registered Dental Assistant license issued by the Dental Board of California
- Travel between other local affiliated practices periodically for temporary assignments
- Ability to multi-task and sometimes complete complex dental tasks correctly and on time
- Bilingual and/or multilingual ability a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Preferred knowledge of Dentrix, eClinical Works, Dolphin Database, DentiCal, Ortho 2, and Vision Revolution Accounting software
