What you will be doing
The Life Enrichment Coordinator creates and leads engaging, person-centered programs that promote a vibrant and fulfilling lifestyle for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. This role designs meaningful activities that support social, physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, vocational, and environmental wellness while fostering dignity, connection, and a strong sense of community. Programs are tailored to resident interests and abilities and are continuously evaluated to ensure they remain engaging, inclusive, and impactful.
This position involves planning and facilitating daily activities, special events, and campus-wide programs; collaborating with care teams, families, volunteers, and community partners; and supporting residents as they transition across levels of care. The coordinator completes resident assessments, encourages participation, tracks engagement, and creates welcoming environments that inspire involvement and joy.
In addition, the Life Enrichment Coordinator manages calendars, supplies, budgets, and program logistics; assists with transportation for resident outings; teaches wellness or fitness programs as certified; and provides guidance to life enrichment assistants and volunteers. Strong organization, creativity, compassion, and a commitment to resident-centered care are essential to success in this role.

About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, Healthcare, Public Health, Social Work, or related field (preferred).
- 1–2 years in life enrichment, recreational programming, event planning, or senior care.
- Experience working with individuals living with dementia strongly preferred
- CPR/AED certification (required within 2 months of hire
- Valid Michigan driver’s license and chauffeur’s license (within 30 days)
