The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Shipping Receiving Technician is to receive, unpack, verify, and store/deliver all incoming materials, as well as to load outgoing freight. Additionally, this role involves pulling and staging requested materials to support daily production needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads trucks, utilizing the Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) system to track and manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Uses the EWM system to ensure timely delivery of materials and efficient storage locations.
- Pulls and stages requested materials in support of daily production needs.
- Assists with the movement of freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, by hand or using carts, hand trucks, forklift, and other equipment. Records all movements in the EWM system to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Generates and attaches EWM system-generated tags to ensure accurate tracking.
- Use the EWM system to generate and provide necessary documentation.
- Regularly update the EWM system to reflect current inventory levels and maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment.
- Assists with the staging and tracking of raw materials and supplies using the EWM system.
- Perform waste management duties such as transferring waste material from drums to totes, logging data, and notification for pick-up and additional totes. Record waste management activities in the EWM system for accurate tracking and reporting.
- Is trained to support the Shipping/Material Handler and acts as a back-up as needed and/or on a rotational basis.
Education and/or Experience
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Forklift experience and other powered industrial equipment is required.
- One year of experience in a shipping or warehouse role is required.
- Organizational skills, teamwork skills, and the ability to multi-task is required.
