Finance Manager

HEPMIL Singapore - SGAG and HEPMIL Creator’s Network (HCN), is home to one of the fastest growing content and creator businesses locally. We exist to Make Every Singaporean’s Day a Better One through the endless funny memes and videos on SGAG and by empowering the next generation of content creators through HCN.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager based in Singapore to lead the financial operations for our Singapore entity, Hepmil Singapore. This role reports directly to the Group Financial Controller and plays a pivotal part in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has a solid background in accounting and finance, with strong analytical capabilities and leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, and month-end closing
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of GST filings and liaison with tax agents for other regulatory filings
• Work closely with regional finance teams to ensure consistency in accounting practices and alignment in reporting standards

Cash & Treasury Management

• Manage cash flow forecasting and daily liquidity monitoring to ensure optimal working capital levels
• Oversee bank relationships, including account management and online banking authorisations
• Ensure timely settlement of obligations and effective utilisation of cash resources
• Support any financing, FX, or treasury-related matters in collaboration with Group Finance and regional teams

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead annual budgeting and regular forecasting exercises
• Analyse actual performance against budget, highlighting key variances and insights
• Support business decision-making with robust financial analysis and modelling
• Coordinate with regional counterparts to align forecasts and share key financial inputs where relevant

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements in Singapore
• Participate in group-level initiatives to enhance internal controls across entities

Business Partnering

• Provide financial insights and support to local business teams to drive cost efficiency and growth
• Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic initiatives and process improvements
• Partner with regional finance teams to share best practices, systems, and knowledge for continuous improvement

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, fostering a high-performance finance function
• Ensure continuous improvement in processes and systems to support business scaling

Key Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Prior experience in audit, treasury, and financial reporting is strongly preferred
• Experience in the media, advertising, or digital marketing industry is a plus

Skills and Competencies

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and hands-on finance operations experience
• Solid understanding of cash flow, banking operations, and treasury risk management
• Proficiency in financial systems such as Xero, SAP, or equivalent; Advanced Excel required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across local and regional teams
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
