Job Summary
5th/6th Grade Homeroom Teacher
(Humanities Focus)
Helios is an innovative, independent school community for gifted learners in grades K-8 based
on the San Francisco peninsula in Sunnyvale, CA. Our faculty members collaborate to create
and continuously improve an exceptional program tailored to the needs of our gifted population.
This program is distinctive in the way it weaves together interdisciplinary project-based learning,
placement-based mathematics, social-emotional learning, opportunities for students to direct
their own learning, and connection to issues in the wider world.
Helios enrolls 180 students and is deeply committed to fostering a culturally diverse faculty and

Helios is seeking a teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to join our Middle School in 5th/6th
grade with a focus on teaching the humanities. We strongly encourage applications from
