Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Technician role based in the Pune Division. The technician will install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in critical infrastructure environments, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Daily responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, and responding to service calls in a timely manner. The role also involves checking refrigerant levels, cleaning and replacing filters and components, and verifying system performance against standards and specifications. The technician will document work performed, follow safety and regulatory guidelines, coordinate with other trades such as electrical and plumbing teams, and support senior engineers in system upgrades and commissioning activities.
Qualifications
- Strong HVAC diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, including hands-on experience with system troubleshooting and fault finding.
- Knowledge of plumbing fundamentals related to HVAC systems, including piping, drainage, and connections for chilled water or related utilities.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, with a focus on reliability and system uptime.
- Understanding of basic and applied electricity as it relates to HVAC, including reading wiring diagrams, working with controls, and safely handling electrical components.
- Awareness of relevant environmental and safety standards (e.g., EPA guidelines for refrigerants or local equivalents) and commitment to safe work practices.
- Relevant technical diploma, ITI, or certification in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field; additional specialized HVAC certifications are an advantage.
- Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and service documentation, and to maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams, and readiness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed.
