Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Design Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Gurgaon, with flexibility for some work from home. The engineer will be responsible for designing HVAC systems for a variety of projects, preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, and equipment selections for heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution. Day-to-day tasks include performing load calculations, coordinating with project teams, reviewing site conditions, and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, technicians, and vendors to support installation and commissioning activities, troubleshoot design-related issues, and optimize system performance. The engineer will also participate in cost estimation, documentation, and continuous improvement of design practices and templates.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in HVAC Design and HVAC system selection and sizing.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering knowledge and the ability to apply engineering principles to HVAC projects.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in performing technical Calculations, including heat load, airflow, and equipment capacity calculations.
- Candidates should possess understanding of Plumbing interfaces related to HVAC systems, such as chilled water and condensate drainage.
- Relevant skills in CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) for preparing layouts and schematics.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, or residential HVAC projects is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications, and to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and safety standards.
