Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Design Engineer role based in Perambalur. The engineer will design HVAC systems for a variety of building types, including performing heat load calculations, detailed psychrometric analysis, and selecting appropriate air-conditioning equipment, piping, and duct layouts. Daily responsibilities include developing HVAC concepts and detailed designs, coordinating with plumbing and fire protection disciplines, preparing project concept design reports and specifications, and supporting BIM (Revit) modeling efforts. The role involves reviewing vendor documents and drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and contributing to sustainable and green building service designs. The engineer will also participate in technical and commercial discussions with clients, assist with tender preparation and post-tender technical analysis, and support cost-benefit and energy performance evaluations.
Qualifications
- Design of Sustainable Building Engineering Services HVAC keeping abreast the most current viable technology and equipment capabilities and adhering to global standards.
- Supervise, support and review Engineering and Design team to ensure the desired quality.
- Technical discussions with clients.
- Technical evaluation as well as Peer review of the project requirements.
- Correction of Chronic Problems.
- Heat load Calculations and detailed psychometric analysis.
- Selection and design of air-conditioning equipments, piping and duct design and routing.
- Vendor documents/drawings review and approval.
- HVAC design for Clean Rooms
- Coordinate with client for the design approval.
- Scrutinize and refinement of calculation and design drawing.
- Prepare Project Concept Design Report and Project Specification.
- Material submittal and shop drawing review.
- Optimization in resource utilization.
- Controlling wastage in resources
· Bachelor’s Degree /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
· Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in design of mechanical services.
· Strong knowledge of HVAC Design.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
· Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software.
· Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
· Self-motivated and highly organized.
· Proficient in 2D or 3D CAD modeling.
